Leading up to the possible reveal of the discontinuation/upgrade of the current Rolex Submariner line, we will be covering its two-toned version, the 116613LB and the 116613LN!

Over the past few posts, we had covered the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Secondary watch market, and it is still very prevalent in their two-toned variants. If you are still not convinced on the rise of Rolex prices during a pandemic, this post might very prove it.

All along, the stainless-steel sports models have been trading over retail, however only the 126711CHNR of the two-toned sports model is trading over retail. Historically, both the two-toned Submariners were trading slightly below retail, but now both are trading over retail.

The Sunburst Blue 116613LB always have been trading higher over its black counterpart 116613LN, and still holds true now. Due to its beautiful sunburst blue dial that changes color depending on how the light hits the dial, it trades 1000 SGD over its black counterpart even though both carry the same retail tag of 18,910 SGD.

Note: In the infographic below, the Rolex submariner with black dial is 116613LN not LB. The prices for this post are based on New/Unworn pieces in SG secondary market.

The Sunburst Blue 116613LB trades at 13.7% over it’s retail tag while the black trades at 8.41% over it’s retail tag. If you’re interested in getting something that’s value for money as they only trade up to 1000 SGD above retail and not as impossible to find like their steel counterparts, our advice would be to pick these up, before prices shoot up again.
