ROLEX SECONDARY MARKET: TWO-TONE ROOTBEER (126711CHNR)
Today we will be doing our first ever market update on a watch we have previously covered, the watch to have that privilege is the most sought after modern two-tone Rolex, the Rolex GMT Master Rootbeer 126711CHNR!
To learn more about the Rolex Rootbeer 126711CHNR, check out our previous post where we went in-depth on the history of the Rolex Rootbeer and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the price.
In our previous post, we asked you our fans whether the Rootbeer will continue to rise in price and for those that guessed that it would continue to rise in price, you were right!
The Rolex Rootbeer has jumped significantly in price, you could easily pick one up in July at $24,500 SGD. But now the average price of it in August is about $25,925 SGD!
In just 2 months, the Rolex Rootbeer has increased by $1425 SGD, which is around a 5.8% increase from its price of $24,500 SGD in July! If you were lucky enough to pick one up at retail and flip it immediately, it would net you around 30% or 6025 SGD in profits. The Rootbeer is the only modern two-tone watch that could fetch such a high premium.
The new Rolex warranty card has been appearing more frequently in the new watches, driving up prices as people would like to be the first few to get their hands on the new warranty card.
Note: The prices for this post are based on New/Unworn pieces in the SG secondary market.
The Rootbeer with its alluring polished everrose gold center links that just pops with the satin-finished stainless-steel outer links has always been a fan favorite. Even with the increase in price, the premium is still not as significant as the other Steel Sports Rolex, making it still a bang for your buck.
