We will be analyzing the secondary price of the Rolex Submariner No Date 114060, little brother to the Submariner Date 116610LN, to learn more about the older brother 116610LN, check out our previous post. The Submariner no date is just as synonymous as its older brother in terms of recognizability.

The difference between the two are you guessed it, the date window, and the cyclops. Remaining very popular with its minimalistic fans who do not like the protruding cyclops and prefer a cleaner look.

An upgrade to its predecessor 14060m, it upgraded to a “Cerachrom” bezel, along with a maxi dial, super case, it no longer has hollow links, and now has a glidelock feature on its clasp. The white gold surround around the hour markers and super case proves Rolex shift away from tool watches to more of a luxury watch.

Note: The prices above are based on New/Unworn pieces. July prices are based on the past few weeks.

Unlike most models, which follows the Covid-19 trend, the Submariner no date defied all expectations and rose in price despite the Covid-19 pandemic just as its older brother. To learn more about the Covid-19 phenomenon, check out our previous post on the Secondary pricing of the Rolex 126715CHNR.

The Submariner no date has done amazingly well these couple of months, rising an average of 2.4% each month in the secondary market price since the dip in April. Prices started increasing once rumors were out of the discontinuation of the current Submariners and an upgrade in its movement along with a new case.

The Submariner no date has the highest growth in profit margin in all the watches we have covered to date. Look at that graph, now that is what we call a bull market. With just a month and a half away to Rolex announcement, would the Submariner No Date continue to rise?
