Rolex New Release 2026: Perpetual Padellone

Rolex has done it again. To mark 100 years of the Oyster case, Rolex has reached deep into its archives and revived one of the most storied references in its history. The Perpetual Padellone is not just a nostalgia play. It is a genuine technical statement.

The Padellone is a revival of the legendary vintage reference 8171, which originally featured both an annual calendar and moonphase. Rolex is bringing it back with the all-new Calibre 7190, with the full moon and new moon rendered in meteorite, a detail that immediately elevates this beyond a simple revival.

The Dynapulse escapement makes its second appearance in the Rolex catalogue after the Land-Dweller, and the instantaneous annual calendar display is a first for the modern Padellone.

Perhaps most significantly, the Padellone comes with a transparent caseback. For a manufacture that has historically kept its movements hidden, this is a meaningful departure.

The 39mm case comes in two precious metal options.

The Everose gold variant is offered on a brown leather strap or a full Everose gold Settimo bracelet, with a white textured dial. The platinum variant comes on black leather with an ice blue textured dial.
