LEAKS: NEW ROLEX BOX (What’s the difference?)

There are rumors and images circulating online about the new Rolex box, and to be honest, it looks pretty sleek. At first glance, it’s clear that the familiar biege outer case has been replaced with a green one.

To verify this, we dug deeper and found that Rolex had filed the new design with the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.

So, here’s a comparison between the new Rolex box and the current one:

Outer Case: Colour

The previous beige outer case has been replaced with Rolex’s signature green, giving it a more luxurious and refined feel, especially with the gold-accented Rolex logo. Additionally, as Rolex owners know, beige tends to show dirt easily, the dark green will help conceal any signs of wear.

Box: Etched pattern on the top

The waves etched on the top of the box are now horizontal, rather than ascending from left to right.

Box Interior: Slope

The velvety beige interior of the new box no longer slopes toward the center around the watch pillow; instead, it slopes more steeply from the top to the bottom.

Box Interior: Flap for accessories compartment

The new box’s interior flap no longer has a semicircular hole to open. Instead, it features an end-to-end horizontal space for easy opening.

Box: Back Latch

The new box now shows the latch at the back and is no longer covered by a single piece of leather.

Lastly, the image of the box’s color circulating online appears a bit darker compared to the one filed for the IP. It’s probably the lighting, but we can’t confirm that until we have it in hand. Until then, we’ll keep you updated.
