AUDEMARS PIGUET: THREE NEW COMPLICATED ROYAL OAKS
Audemars Piguet surprised us with another round of new releases.
Starting with beautiful Royal Oak Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar Ref 26586TI is a new rendition of the ultra-thin released back in 2019. Coming in a case size of 41mm, it is made entirely of titanium other than the white gold screws, weighing just 75 grams. With it being a limited edition of 200 pieces, we will be sure that it will be almost impossible to get it from the boutiques.
Next, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Ref. 26650TIĀ which features a 43mm titanium case, a German silver dial with black PVD coating, and the brand-new Calibre 4407. This movement, based on the Calibre 4401 that was first introduced in the Code 11.59 Chronograph in 2019, is the brand’s first self-winding split-seconds flyback chronograph mechanism. This is the first concept since the Royal Oak Black Panther Concept in collaboration with Marvel, to be released in 43mm, making it much more wearable. It is also the first concept to come with the interchangeable strap system, only 150 pieces will be made each year.
Last, we have the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding flying tourbillon chronograph, the limited edition offshore released in 2021 comes with a new black ceramic casing and case back in 43mm. It is a limited edition of 100 pieces and comes with the interchangeable strap system.
