11 Watches Worn by Sylvester Stallone Goes to Auction at Sotheby’s
One of the world’s most famous actors and prominent watch collectors, Sylvester Stallone, will be auctioning off his watches on June 5th, 2024, in New York with Sotheby’s. Stallone previously auctioned off five of his watches, including four Richard Milles and a Panerai, which sold for a combined total of over $3.1 million back in December 2020 with Phillips auction house, also in New York. The auction comprises 11 watches from brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Panerai, and Piaget.

Highlights: Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711
Another highlight is a Patek Philippe Nautilus in a green olive dial with a baguette-cut diamond bezel, model 5711/1300A-001. This watch, with a one-year production run, commemorates the discontinuation of the Patek Philippe Nautilus in a blue dial, model 5711/1A-010, also being auctioned.

The possible presence of Sylvester Stallone’s name on the warranty papers will likely drive the sale of the Patek Philippe Nautilus in blue dial 5711/1A-010. It is a shame that the olive Nautilus 5711/1300A-001 does not come with papers.
Highlights: Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 6300G
The main highlight is the single-sealed Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 6300G-010. This current iteration of the Grandmaster Chime in a blue dial is currently discontinued. What makes this watch unique, like all Grandmaster Chimes, is that it was made uniquely for the owner it is being allocated to.

The box is engraved with his name, ‘Mr. Sylvester Stallone,’ as is the outer box for the manual book and the manual book itself. Coupled with the warranty papers bearing Stallone’s name, this watch is a must-have for any Stallone fan.

This will be the first time the Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime is being auctioned off in public since the piece-unique Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 6300A broke world records, selling for $31 million USD at the Only Watch auction back in 2019. It will be interesting to see how the market responds, given the different watch climates in 2019 and 2024.
All watches sold will also include a handwritten note by Sylvester Stallone.
