Rolex 2025: Discontinued Models

Watches & Wonders 2025 is here, and with it, Rolex has made some bold moves—new releases, unexpected discontinuations, and some major surprises.

First up: what’s been discontinued? Were the leaks true? Is the Pepsi or Sprite gone? Let’s break it down.

1. Oyster Perpetual Shake-Up

Our prediction was spot on, the Celebration Motif dial is history. Rolex has discontinued it in 41mm, 36mm, and 31mm, making it a short-lived two-year production run.
But our guess on the GMT-Master II was wrong—both the Pepsi and Sprite are staying.

In a major overhaul, Rolex has axed all previous 41mm Oyster Perpetual dials. The 36mm OP 126000 loses its black and blue dials, while the 34mm, 31mm, and 28mm models drop the pink, black, and blue dials, replacing them with new lacquered options.

2. Datejust & Day-Date Departures

The floral motif diamond Datejusts? Gone. Every version, in every material, has been discontinued.

On the Day-Date front, Rolex is phasing out the 36mm white gold turquoise stone dial (128239-0044)—yet another two-year production piece. Also, Rolex is removing diamond bracelets from all precious metal fluted bezel 36mm Day-Dates.

3. Deepsea Challenge Update

The Deepsea Challenge 126067-0001 is no more—it now features a brand-new dial.

4. Yacht Master 42 – Eye of Falcon Ref.226659

The Eye of the Falcon dial has been discontinued in the Yacht-Master 42 collection, with production lasting only three years.

So, what do you think of Rolex’s 2025 discontinuations? Were they a letdown? Would you have liked to see the Pepsi retired? Let us know in the comments!
